I know it has been a minute since my last post, a lot has been going on and changing in my personal life (which we'll get to later) but I just want to take a moment and commemorate the losses and devastation that is still happening in my homeland, the Philippines.
If you have been following your local news, you would have heard by now that the strongest typhoon ever recorded hit the middle part of the country last week, which lead to thousands of deaths and islands completely washed out. It has been depressing seeing all that is left of the areas, not to mention, my fellow countrymen who have been hungry, sick, and without shelter for days. As an American as well, all I could do from afar is assist through accessible channels and spread the word.
Here are some venues for our kind donations:
Unicef is accepting online donations through THIS portal.
Red Cross is also accepting donations through their website, but you can also text REDCROSS to 90999 to automatically donate $10 to the cause (US residents).
But most importantly, the power of prayer is what will make the Philippines a stronger nation. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone.
Alright, we'll catch up soon! Tata!
