Money money money
Posted on Wednesday, April 17, 2013

One of the worst and my least favorite fight topic is money. Cash. Moolah. It's difficult to budget as it is by yourself. You have rent, car, bills, food, etc. What more if there's somebody else you have to budget for...or worse, with?

The question of commitment and actually BEING with someone pops out when the matter of money is involved. Can you be selfish and stingy for your personal gain? Or be selfless and generous in exchange of companionship? It's a tough choice. Not unless you're in a relationship with a millionaire, athlete, business owner, whathaveyous. America is changing, no question about that. Gas prices are going up, schools are going down, and jobs are hard to find. As a grown woman with a career, my expectations of my man are held at a higher level. Which sucks! But at the same time, I'm thankful that I know by being this way, I'm securing a good future for me and my offsprings.

But should money really be a deciding factor? Well, not money MONEY. But a career. A stable income. Food in the pantry. Something! In my heart, of course it shouldn't. But in my mind, my wallet, my bills, and this crazy stupid economy...maybe it should.
